Recorded ca. 1959. This album was reissued on LP during the 1960s under different titles. In addition, some of the songs were issued on different Sparrow compilations, including "Sparrow" and "Great Calypsoes by the Mighty Sparrow." All of these songs are the early definitive recorded versions of these songs. The same version of "Maria" also appears on "Sparrow Sings for Lovers" (1963). "Mae Mae" was newly recorded on the 1970 album Sparrow Power.
